What We Believe

We Believe:

  1. That the Scriptures (Old & New Testaments) are the inspired word of God.

  2. In one true living God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son & Holy Spirit.

  3. Jesus Christ is God the Son: Completely God united with perfect humanity in one person.

  4. The Holy Spirit is a person whose work includes glorifying the Lord Jesus Christ, and who permanently indwells every believer.

  5. Humankind was created by God but sinned against Him by selfish rebellion and is therefore eternally separated from God and under his judgement.

  6. The Good News is that Jesus Christ died in the place of each person and that His death was a perfect and complete sacrifice for his/her sin. He rose back to life again, was seen alive by many witnesses, ascended to heaven where He now lives as our High Priest and Advocate before God the Father.

  7. In total immersion water baptism by which people confess their personal faith already in the Lord Jesus Christ and publicly identify with Christ’s death, burial & resurrection.

  8. Jesus Christ is personally coming again soon, to take all true believers to be with him forever. After that he will come in glory to reign on earth and then establish a new heaven and a new earth. All the dead will be bodily resurrected; the believer to everlasting life with the Lord, but the unbeliever to judgement and everlasting conscious punishment.

That means He has authority over our lives and we owe Him absolute allegiance, obedience, and worship.

God Is Holy

God is absolutely and perfectly holy (Isaiah 6:3), therefore He cannot commit or approve of evil (James 1:13). God requires holiness of us as well. First Peter 1:16 says, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”

Mankind Is Sinful

According to Scripture, everyone is guilty of sin: “There is no man who does not sin” (1 Kings 8:46). That doesn
